How does self-defense training complement your existing Mental Health & Wellness program? Physical safety and mental health are deeply linked. When employees lack the skills to handle aggressive behavior, they experience "anticipatory stress." Our program acts as a preventative mental health tool by building self-efficacy and reducing the fear of the unknown. By giving employees a sense of control over their physical environment, you directly reduce the stressors that lead to long-term burnout and workplace anxiety.
Will this training be too "aggressive" for our corporate culture? Not at all. We view self-defense as a wellness skill. Our training focuses on boundary setting, situational awareness, and de-escalation first. The physical portion is presented as an "insurance policy"—something you hope to never use, but feel more confident and less stressed just by having it in your "toolkit."
What classes are offered? Our training is delivered in three focused modules that can be offered individually or combined into a comprehensive program: 1. Awareness & De-escalation (Lecture-Based | ~1 Hour) This session covers how to recognize potential threats early, use effective verbal commands, and apply proven de-escalation strategies to prevent situations from escalating. 2. Escape Techniques (Hands-On | ~1.5 Hours) Participants learn practical methods for breaking free when someone grabs, restrains, or blocks their movement, with an emphasis on creating space and getting to safety. 3. Defensive Striking (Hands-On | ~1.5 Hours) This module teaches how to use simple, effective strikes to disengage from an attacker and escape, focusing on safety, control, and real-world application.
Who is this training designed for? It is designed to benefit individuals across a wide range of roles and physical abilities.
What should I wear and bring to the training? Participants should wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing and avoid wearing jewelry. We also recommend bringing water to stay hydrated.
Where is the training held? Our training is conducted on-site at your facility.On-site training works because it prepares employees for real environments, real stress, and real constraints—so they respond with confidence instead of hesitation. Please contact us to coordinate a safe and suitable location for the session.
